Requirements

About the Role
Better In Home Care LLC is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to join their team in Pasadena, CA. This full-time position involves providing essential care to a male client diagnosed with dementia, affecting his short-term memory. The caregiver will assist with daily activities such as transfers, walking exercises with a walker, and personal care tasks including bed baths and toileting assistance. The role requires a dedicated individual who can ensure the safety and well-being of the client while fostering a supportive and engaging environment. The caregiver will work 4 days a week, with potential shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Flexibility in scheduling is appreciated, and the role can be fulfilled by one caregiver or shared between two caregivers if preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Assist the client with transfers and mobility using a walker.
- Provide personal care, including bed baths and toileting assistance.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the client’s dietary needs.
- Pick up and drop off the client at school or other activities.
- Instruct the client in personal hygiene and social development.
- Supervise and care for the client during assigned shifts.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to caregiving.
- Use and maintain safety equipment provided by the company.
- Communicate effectively with the client’s family and healthcare team.
